Welcome to Gordo Elementary School!

My name is Tracy Tolstick, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of GES. It is both humbling and exciting to lead a school with such a strong tradition of excellence, community support, and dedication to student success.

With over a decade of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles, including special education teacher, third-grade teacher, college and career coach, local reading specialist, and assistant principal. These roles have shaped my passion for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed.

I truly believe that Gordo Elementary is a special place—defined by its wonderful students, dedicated faculty, and supportive community. I am committed to building upon the strong foundation already in place and working collaboratively with staff, families, and community members to help every child grow and thrive.

I’m also proud to call this community home. My husband, Nick Tolstick, is a proud graduate of Gordo High School and a Pickens County native. Together, we are raising four vibrant children who fill our home with joy, energy, and love—and who constantly remind me of the importance of the work we do each day at GES.
